MR. KATE: I have a really fun project for you to do to organize in your bathroom, around your vanity area, or you can even use this in a kid’s room — or anywhere.
You take these glass jars, now you could use old pickle jars, old caper jars… I’m going to turn this average looking jar into a beautiful apothecary jar for my bathroom vanity. And, I’m going to do that by attaching these really cute drawer pulls.
First, I need to drill a hole because that’s how we attach them. I’m using my drill — hold it still — perfect! And then I’m going to spray paint it with this metallic spray paint. It already is metallic, but I want to give it more of an antique vibe to fit in with my antique knobs.
Okay so I’ve sprayed them, I’m just gonna let them dry for a minute or two, and then I’m going to attach the drawer pulls and make them fancy, and cool! Okay, so this one’s dry and I’m gonna attach this little pretty knob. Just unscrew the nut and the washer. Stick our little screw part through our pre-drilled hole, and then place the washer back on and screw on the nut to secure. Make sure it’s nice and tight.
Look how cute! It’s so much more decorative and fancy. And here is our second little jar top. That is fancy! No one will ever know that you used to have capers inside of them.
