The power antenna on my Pathfinder had nothing to prevent water etc from getting into the mechanism and breaking things. It was broken when I got it. In addition to fixing it, I’ve made it a little better.

It’s been pointed out to me that a bottle cap glued to the top of the antenna would do just as well. Well, yeah, it would. But where’s the fun in that?
