One of the most time consuming thing about refilling a pen with a syringe is the cleaning of the syringe afterwards.
This refill method does away with the cleaning of the syringe. The tube can be easily cleaned by twirling the tissue paper used to clean the nib and pushing it through the tube.
It requires an extra eye dropper bottle to store ink. This isn’t an issue for me as I already keep my inks in small 10ml eye dropper bottles and use, mainly the feed saturation method so that I don’t have to clean the pen.
When pulling out the syringe, do it slowly so that the bursting bubbles don’t splatter onto the syringe.
