You can do this experiment at home with MEL Chemistry:

https://melscience.com/en/experiments/iodine-in-plastic/

Reaction:
Na2S2O5 + H2O + I2 → NaHSO4 + HI

Step-by-step instruction
1. Fill a cylindrical vial with iodine from the iodine bottle, located in the set.
2. Close the cylindrical vial with a cap. Wait one day.
3. Remove the cap from the cylindrical vial.
4. Drip 10-20 drops of disodium disulfite (Na2S2O5) into the dirty vial.
5. Pour the solution out of the vial into a disposable cup or into the sink.
6. Observe the results: the vial remains yellow, despite the action of a reducing agent.
