NOTE: The pressure inside the bottle won’t last as long after making the holes in the tube as it lets out the pressurized air too instead of just water.
This is also good for saving a plant that has almost died (it may look 100% dead) from dryness. First water the plant normally. Then place it in a bucket or a plastic box, seal the opening with plastic wrap and make a small hole in it from which you can spray mist into the container so that the air humidity gets really high and the plant can absorb water from the air. Even if the leaves are dry and fallen off, the plant may still produce air roots to absorb water from air and soon it will make new leaves. I have saved many chili plants this way when people have been convinced the plant is totally dead. Don’t leave the plant in the box for too long and let the air change once in a while so it won’t grow mold. Also taking the plant in the bathroom when taking a shower helps.
