Had a bottle of whisky given to me as a gift (thanks Bozy!) but found a security cap on top when I opened the box. There were no videos on YouTube showing how to remove this type of cap, so I hacked away at it. Use a razor knife (usually called a “Stanley knife” in Australia) to score through the hinge at the top, then the device will split open and the locking strips on the side will dislodge. The video doesnt show me pulling it off, but it easily falls apart once the hinge is broken.
