How to Re-Cycle Plastic Medicine Bottles in Preparation for Art

Preparing empty medicine bottles so Spray Paint with Adhere.

Once the bottle has a base coat, it will be ready for your artistic creations and mediums such as Acrylic Paint, Gel Inks, and even Watercolor Pencils.

NOTE: The bottles must have at least two coats of rust-oleum plastic spray paint especially if working with Gel Pens or Ink type mediums.

I have noticed that if my coating was weak or if shine came through, than the gel ink will not stick as well.

When working with Gel Inks if the bottle is properly coated, there will not be a need for a protective coating such as Urethane Clear Coat.
Unless you want the extra protection of coating, but typically from my experience, it will not be necessary.

Water or weather proof your bottles please see examples of what can be done and how you can re-use these bottles for art.
