HOW TO MAKE AC AT HOME IN RS 20

Here is how to make a homemade air conditioner.

Things you will need:

6 1.5L plastic bottles (i.e. empty coke bottles)
1 refrigerator
1 upright fan (of any size or sort)

Start by filling your empty bottles with water. Use any size bottles and any water, as you will not be drinking it. The larger the bottles the less often they will need replacing, so try to get 1.5 – 2 L bottles. Next, place the bottles inside your freezer and allow for them to freeze. In the mean time you can set up your fan in the room you want cooled pointing in the direction you want the cold air to blow.

The larger your fan the stronger it will blow, but make sure your bottles and fan are at a good proportion to each other in size. i.e. do not use a 1L bottle and a fan with a radius of 30cm. The larger your bottles the cooler the air will blow once it is caught by your fan.

Once your bottles have frozen place two of them behind the fan and the fan on a low spin. Notice that the frozen bottles suck all the heat from the air around them, while the fan pushes this now-cold air in the direction you desire. Once the bottles behind your fan unfreeze, replace them with the frozen ones in your freezer.

Congratulations, you now have a cheap and easily transportable homemade air conditioner in your home. Alternatively you can use a bucket of ice, place the ice in front of the fan etc. As you have probably grasped the concept by which the cooling system works, you can now improvise your own home-cooling system.

STEP WISE :-

1 Find an ordinary 20″x20″ household box fan.

2 Go to the store and get a 6 pack of bottled water.

3 Open the caps and add about 2-3 tablespoons of salt (Morton’s works best) to each water bottle.

4 Cap off the modified water bottles and place them in the freezer overnight.

5 Set the box fan up in your bedroom, on top of a table, preferably.

6 The next day, take the modified frozen water bottles out of the freezer and place them on a serving tray.

7 Place the serving tray with the modified frozen water bottles on it in front of the box fan.

8 Turn on the box fan and stay cool!

9 Each morning, place the water bottles back in the freezer for a day until you want to use the air conditioner again that night.

10 Finished.
