This tutorial shows the best way to clean the floors in your home fast, efficiently & with minimal effort. In my opinion, microfiber mops provide the most efficient and effective way to clean any floor surface in your home. Microfiber locks onto dust, dirt & pet hair but also works perfectly for wet mopping.

In this video I focus on a large wood floor hallway in my home. This technique works equally well for laminate, tile, cement, marble, vinyl, linoleum, and more!

As shown in this video, here is my guide to turbo cleaning your floors:

1.) Attach dry microfiber mop pad to Turbo extendable microfiber mop

2.) Dry mop your entire area. This will pick up all of the dust, dirt, and pet hair in your area. If you have large pieces of debris, such as cereal, sweep them up into a dust-pan before hand.

**TECHNIQUE TIP: work the perimeter of your room first, then use the back and forth ‘leading edge’ technique which i show in the video. This traps the dirt, dust & dog/ cat hair in the microfiber and doesn’t merely push it around (like a traditional sweeping motion)

3.) Once you’ve finished dry mopping, its time to wet mop. Make sure to use a fresh microfiber mop pad, or rinse the dust and dirt off of your current one

I use a simple liquid solution of vinegar (1/4), hot water (3/4), and a few drops of dish soap. Because the microfiber mop is so good at cleaning your floors on its own, and because you can apply more pressure with the strong aluminum, you don’t need a bunch of nasty chemicals. Mix this liquid solution in a spray bottle like I do.

4.) Start on the far end of your room and work your way backwards. You don’t want to step into your damp, clean surface. Simply spray in a small area and mop that area. You can use a scrubbing motion or back and forth ‘leading edge’ motion. I again recommend working the perimeter walls of your room first then mopping the area in between.

**BONUS: The great thing about using a spray bottle is that you apply a thin, consistent amount of liquid. No more puddles of water . You’re able to get your floors extremely clean without using excess liquid. This also means less residual chemicals and streaking when you are done.

Mopping with this technique is really fast! The pivoting action of the microfiber mop and large surface area make it a very efficient tool for your floors. Once you are done, simply throw your microfiber pads into the washer (assuming they are dirty.. if they aren’t too dirty just rinse and reuse next time).

HEY! What do you know, just like that your floors are clean. Now you can go about your life and enjoy how clean your home is!
