Wanted to share with you an easy and affordable (ALMOST FREE!) way to store your acrylic paints for your craft room. I’ve seen a few ways to organize your acrylic paints online, but couldn’t find a way that would be affordable for ANYONE. I personally didn’t want to spend the little money I had at the time so I came up with this idea with simple items that you most likely have at home. You can better organize your acrylic paints, glazes, glues, and other items that can fit. In this tutorial I only showed the basic idea without decorating it since I was focusing on organizing my acrylic paints… but I do encourage you to add your own touch to it to make it look alot nicer!
I recommend only using egg cartons for 1 dozen eggs (12). I’ve tried using one for 18 eggs but it just added too much weight to the egg carton and started sagging… it worked, but didn’t like how it looked!
Also, I would recommend using 3 or more screws and if you want an even better hold to the wall, try using those drywall anchors (I personally didn’t use one, and it stays up fine).
And not shown in the video, make sure you remove those separator thingies from inside the egg carton since it sometimes gets in the way and the paint bottle can’t enter all the way.
There’s other ways that I thought of that you may try yourself… you an use toilet paper rolls and glue/tie them up together and hang. You can use cardboard boxes, water bottles, pvc pipes, or anything your paint would fit in and hang on the wall.
If you were good with carpentry you can create a small box and drill holes , or build a bunch of shelves as well. It’s all based on your budget… and if your budget is $0 then i would start with the egg carton
