*if you are vegetarian/vegan look for vegetable glycerin
Alcohol Free Chamomile Toner: Organic — this will increase the cost of the DIY but will ensure a higher quality result https://www.vasseurskincare.com/chamomile-toner/

The cost for all of the materials is between $6-$18, depending on the toner you buy, organic vs drugstore. These materials will last you for multiple refills & based on the amount used each 3oz bottle costs around $3-$5

1 — Add one Part Filtered water
2 — Add one Part Alcohol Free Chamomile Toner
3 — Add 6-20 drops of Glycerin. I recommend 6-10 drops for those with oily skin, 10-15 for those with normal skin and 15-20 for those with dry skin. Experiment with the amount of glycerin until it gives you the “sheen” effect that you desire, it’s best to start low and add more as needed
You can use this spray to finish/refresh your makeup — it helps it look like it’s come back to life. Also, you can apply this to your makeup brushes to enhance the pigmentation of eye shadows.

Pure glycerin — you can pick this up from the drugstore for a couple dollars. Glycerin is a humectant, i.e. a hydrating agent, that is non-comedegenic (non pore clogging) and gets a zero, which is a good thing, on skin deep cosmetics database. This means its completely safe and non toxic.
Chamomile toner — the other main ingredients in mac fix plus is chamomile and fruit extracts, which sooth and refresh the skin. You can find this in a chamomile or fruit enzyme toner. You want to look for one that is natural and alcohol free
The best aspect of this DIY is that it’s paraben and fragrance free. Mac fix plus is loaded with parabens and also has an added artificial fragrance, which can irritate the skin.
