STEP 1: Cut out the shape of animal you’d like to make. In our case it was a butterfly.
STEP 2: Dip the bottom of your plastic bottle caps into Mod Podge and position on the cardboard. Inserting smaller bottle caps into larger ones give a nice effect.
STEP 3: Paint the wings of the butterfly whatever color you’d like. You’ll cover the cardboard & bottle caps.
STEP 4: Choose a contrasting color and accent portions of your animal with it by highlighting a few bottle caps.
STEP 5: Bundle about 5 popsicle sticks together with a rubber band and glue them onto the cardboard. We staggered our popsicle sticks into a “v” pattern. Paint the popsicle stick body and head of your butterfly black.
STEP 6: Hot glue the antennas & beads to the head of the butterfly.
STEP 7: Display!
