Bottle Descramble and Assembly



Plastic bottles are fed from a bulk hopper to a belt conveyor. Four FANUC LR Mate robots, guided with vision/camera system and FANUC iRVision software, are directed with FANUC PickPro software to; locate bottles on the moving conveyor, determine their orientation (left or right side of bottle up), pick the bottles and place them on the left or right hand conveyor, all while sharing the load evenly among the robots.

The bottles are conveyed to the bottle upender, where LR Mate robots pick the bottles from the moving conveyor, invert them, and place them into assembly fixtures.

The inverted bottles in assembly fixtures are conveyed to the assembly station where LR Mate robots, guided with iRVision, pick up subassemblies and insert each into a void in the body of the bottle.
