This is an instructional over how to make an LED nightlight with the stylish accent of a plastic bottle cap. This video assumes that you already know how to solder because I really don’t show the actual soldering process, just the circuit ant putting it together into the bottle cap.
The Circuit Simulator is from Paul Falstad and can be obtained at https://www.falstad.com/circuit/
He also has a lot of example circuits, so check it out!
Parts List:
- Plastic bottle cap (not the extra thin/reduced plastic kind)
- Roof flashing, or some thin, flexible metal to use as prongs
- 14k Ohm worth of resistors good for 1.5 Watts
- 47μF capacitor
- Diode
- LED, 3.3V, bright white (or if you want another color, change the resistance accordingly)
- A circuit board to mount everything on.
Also, I don’t know why my camera cut me off /before/ I hit the stop button, but I’ll consider that in the future. I tried to keep things in excellent focus most of the time so the HD does it justice most of the time, but some parts are blurry.
