Crown caps are the standard pry-off style bottle caps that are seen all across the world. They are made of stainless steel and can feature such premium things as oxygen absorbing inserts. These caps all feature plastic gaskets attached to the inside of the cap that, when crimped down, provide their air-tight seal. Crown caps were invented all the way back in 1891 and are called crown caps because of their distinctive edges when crimped (especially if you hold the cap upside down).
