Antique 19th Century Victorian Thomas Webb & Sons Solid Silver mounted large Cameo Glass Scent / Perfume Bottle, the rounded body of encased red opaque glass overlaid in white and hand carved with a flower spray and a band along the shoulder, silver gilt neck with silver screw cover beautifully chased with a floral decoration on a matted ground. The silver is Hallmarked English Silver (925 Standard) on each part, London, year 1889 (O), Maker’s mark F.B.M (Frederick Bradford Macrea, first managing director of the Army & Navy Cooperative Society Ltd, company formed by a group of army and navy officers). The base of the glass is stamped “THOMAS WEBB & SONS”, the greatest and most collectable glass maker of the Victorian era, called “Crystal King of England” and renowned for the high quality of its Cameo glass.
